How to Dinner Cruise: In 5 Easy Steps
1. Reserve Your Tour
As the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, the Dinner Cruise option begins by booking your tour.
When booking you will see this question: “Are you dining on board?” Select “Ordering from Casa Sensei” from the drop-down menu. Read and complete the rest of the booking form. You do not need to be ready to order your food to complete this step.
TIP: Understanding that your food will be served at your scheduled departure time is the key to a great experience! Be early!
NOTE: Dinner Cruise option is not possible for all tours. If you don’t see the “Are you dining on board?” when booking, you’ll need to pick a different tour time or date.
2. Prepare Your Order
What? Prepare it?
Basically get it ready. Orders are placed on the day of your tour, so you might have a few minutes or days or weeks to think about it. But you will need to place your order in step 3. Best to have it ready.
KEEP IN MIND:
- You will need your exact tour time. Not a guess. Check your confirmation email for your start time.
- You will need the name your tour was booked under. Also found on your confirmation email.
- Please, one caller with the entire order per boat. NOT multiple callers. All part of getting that order ready.
- FYI: A few items are not allowed on the boats.
TIP: Writing it all down ahead of time will make Step #3 much smoother.

3. Place Your Order - ON THE DAY OF YOUR TOUR
Excited? You should be. It’s the day of your tour. Time for you to place that order.
GET READY! HERE WE GO:
- Place your order at least 2 hours BEFORE you tour time. You can place your order anytime during the day of your tour as long as it is at least 2 hours prior to your departure.
- Place your order using You can text it, call it in or leave a message at the beep using only this number. Someone will confirm receipt. This number is for Riverfront Gondola Dinner Cruise orders only.
- Please, one caller with the entire order per boat. NOT multiple callers.
- HAVE the EXACT TOUR TIME and the BOOKING NAME at the ready. They can be found on your confirmation email.
TIP: Writing it all down ahead of time will make this step much smoother.
IMPORTANT: It is very important that you DO NOT place your order with their online system. That would be a big mistake.
4. Arrive at Least 15 minutes BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME
Yes! At least 15 minutes. Parking. Settling your bill with Casa Sensei. Restrooms. This all takes time. Don’t be rushed. Arrive early. And take a look at our page if you haven’t already.
“WE ARE HERE. WHAT NOW?”
- Have seat on our benches.
- Meet your captain.
- Get your QR code scanned to check in.
- Listen to your captain for instructions, updates and great advice.
- SAVE TIME: After you’ve been scanned in, go inside Casa Sensei to the bar and flag down a bartender to pay. Tell them when they are in earshot you need to pay for a boat. Do not wait at reception to be noticed. (Zzzz . . .)
- While inside the restaurant, take the captain’s advice.
- Return to the benches and wait for your captain to escort you on board. As soon as all your dishes are served directly to your boat, you will depart the dock and will be dining on the beautiful canals of Ft Lauderdale.
TIP: A bunch of different people are going to be asking you for your start time. It’s good to know when it actually is.
